Match Info

Match Dates

Match Times

  • Zero Confirmation: 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM
  • Check In - 10:15 AM
  • Safety Brief - 10:45 AM

Match Fee

  • $20
  • $30 if competitor wishes to compete in both divisions.
  • Prize Table Entry: $40 (optional)

Match Summary

The Brock's Gap DMR Match Series is a Time Plus Points (TPP) style match. Competitors will compete in 1-4 matches throughout the year and will be scored per match. At the end of the 4th match, all competitor's total time across all matches will be totaled, and a small trophy will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the total time scored, along with a medal for 1st place in their respective division.

In the event of a tied time at the end of the 4th match, the competitors will be offered the opportunity for a shoot-off designated by the match director.

Divisions

LR (Light Rifle) 

  • Action Type: Any
  • Caliber: 5.56x45mm NATO/.223
    • Projectile must not exceed 178 gr in weight or a muzzle velocity of 3100 FPS.
    • No armor-penetrating, incendiary, or tracer rounds allowed.
  • Barrel Length: Any
  • Optic: Any
  • Rifle must have a functioning sling attached.
  • Rifle Attachments Allowed

LR (Pistol)

  • Any Pistol is Allowed
  • Holster must be capable of securing pistol during strenuous movement.
    • If the pistol unintentionally comes out of the holster at any time, the competitor will be immediately disqualified. 

HR (Heavy Rifle)

  • Action Type: Any
  • Caliber: Any
    • Projectile must not exceed 178gr in weight or exceed a muzzle velocity of 3100 FPS.
    • No armor-penetrating, incendiary, or tracer rounds allowed.

  • Optic: Any
  • Rifle must have a functioning sling attached.

HR (Pistol)

  • Any Pistol is Allowed
  • Holster must be capable of securing pistol during strenuous movement. 
    • If the pistol unintentionally comes out of the holster at any time, the competitor will be immediately disqualified. 

Scoring

  • Competitors are ranked by total daily time.
    • In the event of a tied time, competitors will have a shoot-off designated by the match director.
  • All stages have a standard 90-second par time.
    • Shooters will not be allowed to gain points after this standard par time.
  • Steel Target Scoring:
    • Steel will be required to have at least 1 impact to be deemed "neutralized" regardless of caliber unless otherwise noted by stage brief.

Penalties

  • Miss/Failure to Neutralize (Mike): 15+ seconds to Raw Time
  • Procedural: 10+ seconds to Raw Time
  • No Shoot: 10+ seconds to Raw Time
    • A Mike + No Shoot = 25 total seconds added to the Raw Time

Disqualifications

  • If a competitor is disqualified, the competitor must immediately cease all further shooting events. 
  • Disqualified competitor may stay as a spectator for the rest of the match.
  • Disqualified competitors will retain their accumulated time earned during previous stages, except for the current stage of fire in which they were disqualified. 
  • If any firearm unintentionally falls to the ground: 
    • The competitor will be immediately disqualified. 
    • An immediate ceasefire will be called.
    • After the ceasefire is called, the competitor will be allowed to safely retrieve the firearm to make the firearm safe. 
    • Firearms that may fall while not in use will not result in disqualification.
      • Such as: A rifle being knocked off the rifle storage rack.
  • All pistols, while not in use, must be fully unloaded and holstered.
  • Breaking the 180 degree rule will result in immediate disqualification.
  • For any disqualifications, the designed squad leader and competitor must report the disqualification in person to the match director.

Prize Table Raffle

  • Prize table is sponsored by Stoic Solutions in association with several industry vendors.
  • It is an optional event for competitors wishing to compete for prizes.
  • Fee: $40
  • Prize winners will be awarded based on a raffle system. Ticket numbers will be called at random to select a prize of their choosing at the end of the match. 
  • Prize table will have limited items. 
  • Entry does not guarantee winning a prize, only the opportunity to win, depending on prize quantity/availability. 

Miscellaneous

  • If a competitor opts to compete in multiple divisions during a single match, their score will be calculated separately in their respective divisions. 
  • The competitor may opt to compete in both divisions throughout the year.

Support Gear & Accessories

  • External shooting support accessories may be used by either division and must be deployed on the clock unless otherwise outlined in the stage brief. (Bag, Tripod, etc.)
  • Bipods, Support Bags, and other Accessories must remain unchanged and be carried on person via pack, belt, lanyard, pouch, or mounted to rifle by the competitor on all stages of the match. (Even if equipment is not deployed on each stage)
  • Rifle, support equipment, and ammo loadout must remain the same for all stages.
  • Support gear cannot be pre-staged or pre-deployed if it is not attached to the rifle and must be "left behind" or "temporarily dropped" before or during a stage. 
  • Shooter must wear/carry all mags, ammo, snacks, water, shooting aids, widgets at all times during the match, including when rifles are stored in a rack. 

Waitlist

  • If the match has filled up and you are on the waitlist, plan on shooting the match. 
  • A few days before the match, we will make final adjustments to best accommodate everybody that wants to shoot.
